Our solution

Arcovent is unique in its functioning by continuously measuring in- and outdoor atmosphere. The intelligent control program uses the data obtained to ensure precisely the right amount of ventilation is provided. This results in differences in air pressure being eliminated along with the common health risks associated with problems of over or under ventilation.

This desired balance can be maintained through changes in external conditions including changes in temperature, air humidity or the condition of the air filter. Many ventilation systems today due to atmosphere changes can result in an atmosphere under pressure measuring over 20 pascals. Arcovent’s equipment is regulated to stay within 1 pascal.

What does all of this mean?

Previously installed ventilation systems are set on the date of installation to a slight under pressure or zero pressure. These settings are determined by the current atmospheric conditions at that time. It is well known that these conditions are ever changing and will result in an undesired under or over pressure.

Some of the effects of under and over pressure

  • Cold airflow is sucked through window and door cracks
  • Cold and hot air forming in layers rather than circulating as intended
  • Heat loss
  • The inside of external walls are cold
  • Mould or dampness may occur
  • More energy used to compensate for unnecessary temperature loss
